  • @lc08302 Hi. Did you try standard TMS or Deep TMS which is supposedly what Brainsway is claiming to do? Did you actually do the treatment with Brainsway itself or another company? Regards.

  • Our "Socialist" government seems to ensure that convicted cop-killers and kiddie diddlers receive a better way of life than any medically-disabled person. Just one example - could you afford to pay for the internet out of that ~ $300 that you have to buy your food, bus tokens, clothing, toilet paper, etc? Those whom we'd have hanged a few decades ago now happily browse the net. Some poor person with MS or depression who has depleted their savings (you are required to do so) can't afford that.

  • The "state" isn't covering his costs - mainly because TMS hasn't been found to do any good in many countries, including his (the UK). In countries you'd call "Socialist", the state doesn't cover mentally ill people very much. If you aren't certified as disabled, they only cover MD visits, ECT and hospitalization. If you're 'disabled', you might get enough money to rent a room in a ghetto, and about $300 to cover everything else, e.g. food. The government covers some, not all drugs either.

  • TMS is barely more effective than a placebo. It's NOT a breakthrough in treatment - doctors and companies have been trying to get a magnetic treatment to work - at all. All studies have been very small, and patients have to return on a weekly basis after the every day for 6 weeks period (that's worse than ECT).

  • Might work for some. I tried it .6 weeks and $12,000 later not a single change

  • Sounds like nails are going into his head

  • He got ill? I suppose that having the state covering all costs associated with being "clinically" depressed would give this patient the means to pursue treatment. I wonder how debilitated this man would have been, had it not been for state medicine?

  • well, you'd probably have to diet and find purpose as well to get rid of that depression, though this would probably get you to functioning level to start.

  • is this real or the power of suggestion that makes it work so well

  • *do
