The what's hard and what's not is extremely evident to me. I teach a discipline which is extremely mentally tough. Some people revel in this and love the constant mental stimulation. But many kids are shocked at the fact that I'm asking them to think.
im only 22 and i already see this phenomenon in kids 5 years younger than me. it was something to be expected with the information advancement - earlier they didn't have the opportunity to build up a knoledge base on their own - it took a lot of money and a lot of time. now - its a question of a few clicks. so - its just something we will have to adjust to and NOT cling to the past
