... So, that being said.. if a priest cannot even touch the monstrance why should people in the audience be able to. Christ is present at that time.. they should be kneeling on both knees, NOT STANDING ( unless unable to kneel), and NOT touching the monstrance. Our Lord is meant to be touched, but in holy communion, when we are in the state of Grace. The Eucharist was put in place by our Lord for consumption, and adoration.

This really bothers me, that Jesus is exposed in the Monstrance, and the whole time the focus is on her.. not him. If he is exposed he should be the one that the attention is on.. not a speaker.. no matter how beautiful the testimony is. Also, do you see that clothing item that the priest uses to carry the Monstrance? That is called a Humeral Viel. He covers his hands to carry the monstrance so his hands DO NOT touch the monstrance out of respect for the sacred Vessel, which carries God....
