This isn't my normal type of video, but it doesn't exactly fit on my personal channel.

This is my home built electronic fireworks igniter. It runs off of a 12 volt .8 amp lead acid battery. I will use it in combination with ematches to light off my fireworks.

Any feedback is appreciated!

Cost of project below.
Project box - $8
Switches - $12 for all of them
Speaker terminals - $7 for all of them
Battery - $15
Wire - $3
Solder - $3
Heat shrink tubing - $2
Total - $50

Also, the 1 amp battery charger cost about $15 but I already had it.

  • can you make a schematic for this?? i searched everywhere for this..!! please!!!

  • @bleedingsoulful I'm still learning how to make schematics, so I'm not entirely sure how to, I came up with the plans in my mind. But you're basically creating a set of 10 switches, all of which allow current to flow to separate ematches. I kind of imagined each switch as a separate circuit and them combined them all together if that helps.

  • u bought that. i got the same thing as a set lier

  • @MrFunyman1234 Nope, I built it.

  • where did you buy the battery from and could you post a link to it if you dont mind thanks great video and sweet detonator

  • @joshthedragonslayer I'm pretty sure I purchased the battery on ebay, I can't say for sure though.

  • at least its a bunch of switches^^ so somehow its worthless. The whole thing as remote controlled one would be cool but this is just a couple of swithes terminals and leds ^^

  • @madzgamez123 Aussipyrotechnics is right. I know that in the US, you need a special license to purchase already made ematches (ematch with the pyrotechnics already on it). However, you can purchase ematch "kits", which include "blank" ematches (in essence, a thin wire that heats up), and chemicals. You basically mix the chemicals together, creating a pyrotechnic that you then dip the "blank" ematches into. The pyrotechnic dries, leaving you with real ematches. That's how I did it atleast.

  • @madzgamez123

You can't buy ematches without an ATF in Australia, but you can buy ematch BLANKS from pyrodirect

  • hey do you have an ebay link or something for these e-matches, i can't seem to find anywhere to buy them in victoria thanks

  • i just hate it when people ask you where you bought that thing you made and you tell them that you made it and they wont believe ya cuz it looks too good

  • Looks good to me. Nice job!

If you need a schematic to put this together, you definitely shouldn't be playing with fireworks.
