The aikido throw kokyuho on katadori, shoulder grip, by aikido instructor Stefan Stenudd, 6 dan Aikikai. The video also contains some explanations, mainly about the role of uke, the attacker. Tis is a particularly relaxed way of doing the kokyuho technique. From a seminar in the Czech Republic, video taped by Larry Kwolek.

  • i'm trying to find a move called "yudo sinage, Why can't i find it? does anyone have a correct spelling?" Nice vid by the way

  • @julzrafpilot, you might try "judo seoinage". Maybe that's what you search for.

  • Hmmm, seems this gentleman is slipping into 'systema' and away from Aikido...

  • I find systema very interesting, so I don't mind the comparison. But such soft approaches are part of the aikido curriculum as well.

  • Interesting way to perform kokyuho. Of course the centre is always important but isn't the posture also important? Seeing you do the technique, your back is still relatively straight throughout it seems. But thank you for the video, taught me a concept.

  • You're right, posture is very important throughout. In particular, it's necessary to remain in one's center.
