  • Very well done! I loved this movie, too but like others have a tough time watching it because of 9/11.

  • Thanks venmus93 .

  • EXCELLENT EXCELLENT EXCELLENT tribute to this all time masterpiece ... was always one of my favourite movies all though I have to say that I now find it difficult to watch these days because I find that I really feel for those who were in the trade towers in the U.S ... Never-the-less this is a marvellous tribute to an all time classic produced in an error when effects were hard work and not CGI ... those days are long gone - unfortunately ...

  • Thanks booth2710.

  • I watched this Eight times, when it first came out. I can't believe how well you did this, those collectibles, and the rare pictures are

    unreal! Thanks

  • You're welcome Radicalreels and thanks for the nice comments. This wouldn't have been possible without those websites devoted to the film. That's where all the materials came from so credit also goes to them.

  • Bobby Brady at 1:06. The hard time I have with the movie relating to 9-11 is the sight of people jumping out of burning buildings. They didn't have too many choices.

  • I miss these days of movies. Just the opening of this puts the hair on your neck up!!. The simple preamble BEFORE the movie starts. It gets your blood going.. the SENSE of something about to happen... The drama.. THE SHOW!! All the great showmen like Irwin Allen are gone now. He understood what an audience wanted to see in a movie theater. I love that sense of... WOW he puts in this movie. Just a helicopter arriving to Frisco but MY GOD the anticipation.. the music!!

    THE MOVIES!!!

  • Because of this movie, my mom REFUSES to take a hotel room higher than the second floor. Can't say I blame her.

  • Lovely video. This was my all-time fav of the 1970s epic disaster films. Thanks for bringing back some memories of happier days.

  • @venmus93 I loved this movie. McQueen should have had an Academy Award for his performance. But politics happens in Hollywood like anywhere else. He took Ali MacGraw away from Robert (Whoever), head honcho at Paramount and that screwed him for life. He also should have won a Best Actor in "Papillon". I also can't watch this movie without 9/11 being in the back of mind.

  • @ballisticbliss And you nailed it about McQueen's performance. They don't have actors in this day's Hollywood like him or Paul Newman.

  • OH......

THIS IS NOW ADDED TO MY FAVORITES !!

    very well done.

  • Tremendous film and acting. McQueen nailed his part.

  • The Towering Inferno is a great movie. I have that movie on DVD I remember seeing on the big screen when I was a teen. You really have to see it on the big screen to get the full effect of if. It still is great on the small screen but it is better on the big screen.
