Club for Growth PAC Releases New Television and Radio Ads in AZ-05
Washington -- Today, Club for Growth PAC announced new television and radio ads in Arizona's Fifth Congressional District. The television ad will start running tomorrow on broadcast television and cable systems in the Phoenix market; the radio ad begins today. Both ads will run through primary day on September 2.
Both the television ads and radio ads seek to show voters just how liberal Susan Bitter Smith is on economic issues. Bitter Smith is attempting to portray herself as a conservative, but she neglects to mention that she voted for an 18% property tax increase as a member of the Scottsdale City Council. When she ran for Congress in 2000, she opposed a ballot initiative to eliminate the state's income tax in order to win the endorsement of a labor union. She also refuses to sign a pledge opposing wasteful earmark spending, which other candidates—like conservative David Schweikert—have signed.
"Throughout the decade in a half in which Susan Bitter Smith has been involved in politics, her record has been consistently liberal on economic issues," said Club for Growth President Pat Toomey. "She supported a huge tax increase when she was a city council member in the early nineties and she refuses to fight wasteful spending today as a congressional candidate. Susan Bitter Smith can call herself a conservative, but when voters look at her record, they will see just how liberal she truly is."

THIS YEAR'S GOLD MEDAL FOR POLITICAL GYMNASTICS GOES TO . . . SUSAN BITTER SMITH.

BUT IN FACT, BITTER SMITH'S RECORD IS TERRIBLE FOR TAXPAYERS.
AS A CITY COUNCIL MEMBER, SUSAN BITTER SMITH VOTED TO RAISE SCOTTSDALE'S PROPERTY TAXES BY A WHOPPING EIGHTEEN PERCENT.
HOW'S A HUGE PROPERTY TAX HIKE SOUND TO YOU?
BUT THERE'S MORE.
BITTER SMITH DROPPED HER OPPOSITION TO OTHER TAXES IN ORDER TO GET A LABOR UNION ENDORSEMENT.

Whoa!!!! Why is the Club for Growth attacking a republican who is running as a Regan Republican? This is weird. It seems like they would be supporting her. Grover Norquist is like one of the most despicable human beings I can think of besides murderers and child rapists. But seriously what is his beef with her. That makes her seem more reasonable just by virtue of being attacked by such a creep. I need more information Grover why don't you throw down another video and we can figurethisout
