  • real swing or not Ive had guys lead me in it bunches of times and while it may not be swing its great for two-stepping whatever category of dance that it falls under

and I appreciate it so much cuz I have the task of educating my friends on how to dance! ugh!

  • Omg thx we r learning this in gym and i don't wanna look stupid infront of my dream guy whom I have to dance with tomorrow :)

  • stop hating it's a great video and allows anyone to impress a fellow dancer =] good stuff man. thanks.

  • west coast friendship-owl city

  • Ahhh. I have been looking for this for ever!!

Knew how to do this once, but forgot again :(

  • I learned stuff like this doing latin dancing. And I do not like it when Chicago style stepping (slower swing) instructors try pass pretzels off as "original" dance forms.

  • Awesome, thanks for posting this.

  • You are correct, this is not a real swing move and when you see something like this happening it's usually pegged with the beginners dancing ECS. In addition to looking silly and awkward there is no actual dancing going on when you this and it's VERY easy to injure your follows' arms when you're pulling and tugging at them from behind your back. If you do this on the social dance floor, don't expect anyone who knows how to dance to dance with you.

    Check out Lindy Hop

  • This is a move East Coast Swing dancers tend to do. The move itself has next to nothing to do with swing dancing as per the tradition of Lindy Hop, Texas Tommy, etc.

  • Nice, although I had one person telling me that this is not a "real" swing move, i was wondering if this is a modern thing, or if it is more of an East Coast Swing thing.
