I am probably more than twice as old as any of you and I do not subscribe to conspiracy theories. But as "9/11" proved, anything is possible; my generation certainly never thought it could happen. Assassination of a U.S. President was unthinkable before Nov. 22, 1963. Etc.
However, I have become convinced large corporations will do anything when it comes to big money.
And the Stephen Stills song is actually from his days in Buffalo Springfield, called "For What It's Worth". Yes - I'm that old.

I don`t want to transform into one of those "conspiracy theory" freaks, but controlling the internet is easier than you think. Did you know that, in China, the Google search engine has been severily modified? i.e. if you try to search for pr0n you don`t get any results. In the rest of the world you can just type "let me see tits" and there you go -- all the dirty movies you could dream of XD

The internest is not going anywhere. I know that there is the whole stuff about some "evil" corperatations trying to controll everything. But look, the Internet is simply to large and too fast moving for something like this to be done. And even if it did happen, you can expect riots and stuff, including the downfall of the companys that do this.
