in fcp, how do you get the real lines around the video, or if i wanted to monitor myvideo, how do i get those on a monitor and in fcp?

hey parker, just wondering. considering getting a macbook pro; i run final cut studio and express as well as some simpler programs... should i save up for the pro or just use the macbook. ive heard the pro handles graphic intense programs better

It completely depends on your future in the business. If your gonna be doing media production for anything more than a hobby I would definitely say get the Pro. I made the mistake of getting the MacBook and I find myself running out of memory. There are work arounds with external hard drives and purchasing extra RAM, but having that in your computer already makes everything better. Plus you get a bigger screen which is always good.
