Tom Udall is the best Senator America has today. I would think that he should be on the House Ways and Means Committee and help our nation reform Congress. He should be given the highest role in the Senate.

Thank you Senator, the US Senate and Senators should be a shame. That for everything you need 60 votes. You should only need 51 to passed any bill. not using any tricks. I don't care if Republicans or Democrats have control they should only need 51 Senators . Like the House.

The accountability the PEOPLE WANT has more to do with separating the politician from the lobbyists/corruption. I dunno a school grade to this I feel like this is an A for effort but D for effect it just misses the real problem. Lobbyists.

The modern filibuster has to be the biggest farce ever. Used to be you'd have to keep gabbing as long as you could stand it. Now, you pretty much just say "Filibuster!" and you've got it. I say, they want to hold things up, make them work for it, and make them do it out in the open, rather than hiding in the anonymity the modern form allows. Talk until they drop, then let the grownups get back to work.

After listening to Tom, it makes me proud to be a born and raised New Mexican from the great city of Las Cruces. His simple presentation should be shown in all 8th grace civics classes. Good Luck during the upcoming session. Fight the good fight.
