I caught STARLIGHT in London, New York, Los Angeles & Las Vegas -- and the London production was by far the most impressive. The set design was staggeringly intricate and beautiful with the race "track" going all the way up to the front mezzanine. The "trains" literally skated all over the theatre. I don't know if it was lability issues but none of the other productions brought the audience that close to the action.

On a choir trip, we were listening to this musical's album, and I must say, the musical is much better with visuals.
That is what makes the show.

Experiencing Starlight Express in London was such a dream-come-true! I wish they'd restage in English. I understand that it still plays in Germany.
