CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- Emergency medical technicians across Ohio, Kentucky, and four other states are wondering why the private ambulance service they worked for folded without notice. North Carolina based First Med EMS operates under names including Life Ambulance and Medcorp. Both of which had operations in Cincinnati. The company shut down Friday, leaving two thousand people without jobs two and a half weeks before Christmas. This number includes about a hundred people locally. Employees say there was really no forewarning. A worker in Toledo filed a lawsuit against the company and is seeking class action status.
