Hello again,
you are very right. the lift was donated to town by sun valley. He was in the CG & retired. He the became the harbor master & he worked as the project manager with the army Corp. as the donated a sky crane helicopter to lift the towers. He also blasted and clear and poured the concrete with the sky crane. they built the towers at the bottom of the hill and lfted them into place with the chopper.
*grin* I love it! I also like the new lamp post decorations...
<3 P.S. it's Pearcy :)

I got to the credits around 2 am, loaded it and then noticed the spelling. I even spelled the misspelling wrong! Also-- I used your pic w/o permission, (wanted to surprise you!) If you sue me I will claim senility and bring my invisible pet frogs to court!

Hello, My name is Gary Bolon. I lived in Cordova from 72 til 78. They were the best times of my life. I started school in 3rd grade and ended in 8th grade. I miss the ski hill. My father was the person who built the chair lift. When I began skiing we only had two rope tows. I hope to make it to Cordova this summer. My girlfriend laughed at me as it brought tears to my eyes. Thank You for the best christmas gift of the year!!!

This makes me so happy! Call or e-m when you get to town if you like and I will make you folks some great seafood, fresh bread and catch you up on the history of town! Dave Branshaw is running the hill now, he's fantastic and we have a great ski patrol with up and coming youngsters.

72-78; when the original "hippy influx" occurred, and we are still here! Did your dad install the lift or actually "build it"-- it was from Sun Valley-- the first in the USA. We still love it so much.(the Japanese tried to buy it. . .NO WAY! I love the HILL! Guess what my next vid will be about! Ciao for now! Carolyn
