  • @gnookergi I agree with that sentiment. Just about every Mormon I've ever met has been kind and generous; however, their beliefs are a little too weird for me. Still, if their mission is to make people like them, they're doing a fine job.

  • According to the LDS churchs own website, there are currently about 121,000 members in Japan. There are roughly 2,600,000 Christians in Japan, which has a population of slightly over 125,000,000.

Accordingly, Mormons account for less than 5% of the Christian population in Japan, and less than 0.001% of the population of the country.

I am not sure by which standards you consider either of these numbers (less than 5% or 0.001%) to be a *very large percent.*

  • Mormonism is a nice religion in the sense of it's emphasis on building character and happy families. It's not so nice in terms of actual religious views.

  • The recently called member of the Second Quorum of the Seventy remembered once sitting down for a job interview shortly after he completed his full-time mission. The prospective employer asked young Koichi to explain what he did on a mission. Teach others about the restored church of Christ, he answered. His inquisitor persisted, wanting to know what exactly was "restored."

  • As natives of a country where the vast majority of people do not embrace Christian beliefs, it's tempting to assume that Elder Koichi Aoyagi and his wife, Sister Shiroko Aoyagi, endured much opposition in Japan because of their church membership. But that wasn't the case. In fact, Elder Aoyagi will tell you his devotion to his faith has been the source of many opportunities.

  • Please find out the truth of this gosple made my life and gave me a peace and made me a better person.

Japanese is looking for a spritual peace.

  • Although the Christian population in Japan is small (less than 1%), a very large percent of that population is Mormon.

  • Ahhhh man even the home of video games and anime have mormons too even in asia?????! Man i should need more research, i though mormons aren't popular outside of North America lol. Let me guess, Philipines have mormons?
