And the sad thing is, is that that I come back to view this video, drunk.... I suppose I need help coping with the past. Either way, who else agrees that the 80's & 90's ruled in many different aspects?

  • Back then... Wow, do I feel old at 26... this takes me back to being a child, Just arriving home from school only to witness the end of guiding light with my Mom/Grandmother, really. This is flatout depressing.

  • OH I't's ANNIE! I LOVED the Annie character! I liked Cynthia Watros too. They had a fan club meeting every October and I was planning to go to the one that year, but my plans were postponed because I got a brand new nephew born one day later. I was going to get Cynthia's autograph if I had to stay in one place all day.

  • This is the opening I grew up with. I still can't believe it's gone.

  • !loved it

  • This was my favorite GL theme ever. I hated the live location shaky-cam thing in the end

Soapnet has been cancelled, and will have their last airings in january 2012.

  • This is about the last cast I fully remember. After that I started working a different shift, and by the time I'd get a day off, there would be all these characters I'd never heard of anymore. I was sad when I heard they were pulling the plug on GL, & later ATWT, having watched them w/grandma, back when I was a kid in the 70's. But I guess people like me were the reason they went under...I just couldn't contribute to their ratings any more, & advertisers don't pay for TVs that are turned off.
