Repair work has been under way since about July on the wall that began failing in December 2007 at the Lowe's store on Highway 69 in Prescott, Ariz. Construction crews currently are building up a "soil buttress" berm to replace the old masonry retaining wall. Meanwhile, residents in the nearby Prescott Canyon Estates neighborhood continue to deal with the noise, dust, and traffic disruption from the project. This is unbelievably expensive. How many cans of paint and 2x4's are selling to pay for this fiasco? This is $10 million plus, just for a number.
