11th Doctor Who Intro - Matt Smith Titles w/ Tom Baker Music

I am not a fan of Murray Gold I find him unsubtle in his scoring of Doctor Who. Regarding the main theme, he has often spoken in distain about the original score and has admitted to hating the middle eight portion of the theme. He has even likened it to "Do they Know it's Christmas?". I have substituted the opening titles for Matt Smith's Doctor Who intro with the music from the Pertwee/Baker era.

...I think Murray Gold is a musical genius :/ He's done way better than you ever could have. To keep up with the times and to stay on air (to earn money, which is really all the bbc care about in the end) they have to make it more modern and appealing to today's age.

That's what they're doing by changing everything.

I personally like Murray Gold's music, I think at certain times the theme should be varied and changed like the Doctor. The original is always the best version though so i'll just remain in between lol

@supahsnuffy Dude, Doctor Who has been blown out of proportion, so has it's music. The theme should be ELECTRONIC not orcastraited, the Doctor is an ALIEN not bach...

Murray's musical scores are exagerated and bombastic to the point where is dificult to heard the damn dialogues!(with headphones is worst).

He is not the right composer for the series because the theme has an electronic origin and will never be the same without the electronic touch. He is like an actor who overacts with his loud delivery.

Wow, what an insult. Even though I do like almost every version of the theme that's ever been done, to say that it should should never change at all is more insulting. Everything that's different takes a bit to get used to, but like 11's theme ends up being quite awesome. Murray Gold is very talented and frankly to say otherwise is quite ignorant.
