John T. Williams: Dashboard Video of SPD Shooting (AUDIO RIGHT CHANNEL ONLY)

Note about audio: The original recording has the in-car microphone in the left channel and the microphone Office Birk was wearing on his uniform in the right channel. This version has the left channel dropped to better hear the conversations happening outside of Birk's patrol car.

Shooting blindly is not advisable.Nor is putting rounds down range unnecessarily.The goal of any shooting is to stop the threat and not everyone goes down with one shot.So technically he was right putting 3 where he could.Morally & legally I think the officer was wrong.He closed the gap reducing time to safely allow compliance.A knife attack at close range is very potent,but this officer fucked up royally.

for some reason the police are afraid to death of the people that they are sworn to protect, i do not know what sparked the sudden change in policing tactics,or how to stop it, but there needs to be a change in the way officers are punished for such hideous actions, it is absolutely sickening that that officer is not incarcerated for such an injustice
