  • Nice work on the plate. That stuffs hard to do. How exactly did you make it? Modern tools or 'Ye olde dishing technique?'.

In my group, we try to keep things original. So, we have to sit around and hit metal with hammers. Though, it's a little more complicated than that.

I, myself have made a helmet from scratch, complete with chainmaille aventail and nasal guard.

    ...I hate... Linking Chainmaille.

  • Well... Its not that original. It`s made out of sheet metal and I used iron nails and heavy leather to link it all together. The metal`s aproximately 1mm thick so it is quite mouldible. It looks quite original, but if you look closely you can clearly see it`s sheet metal, not forged metal.

  • great craft where did you get the sheet metal?

  • just a random iron traider. Had been looking for it for two jears until I actually found it right next to my school... lol.

  • Im making some Lord Of The Rings orc/goblin armor. if youve seen the two towers sepical features dvd the sci-fi special theres a orc with a ponty shield and pointy/spike like helm.

  • Well, I`d say; put it up. Show me!

  • Cmon dude you need it thicker and awesome!!!!!

  • wow! verry nice! i like!

  • Nicely done. Looks a little flat, though. No matter how skinny you may be, with an arming doublet and maille under there, you need a more golbose shape.

Certainly something to be proud of though!
