My mother has Osteoporosis. Other than calcium and other supplements if you want to reverse it you have to exercise period. Wolf's law state that bones will adapt with heavy loads put on it meaning if you workout with weight bearing training your bones will eventually adapt and get stronger. Other than age, gender, and genetics you can't control, you can control getting off your butt and exercising.

there is a mistake in the text, bone is not 99% calcium, bone is a combination of tissues, cells, proteins, blood, nerves etc.
99% of calcium is found in the bone, but that just means that there is very little elsewhere, NOT that the bone is 99% calcium.
