  • hey so lets say i have a 55 gallon and i am getting blue powder mbuna's would i need to buy my full stock all at once? because i really dont have much money since i am young.

  • @rexlinkfish Hi, your best off adding in groups :)

  • Love demasoni marc! hope to get a group on day...... nice tank set-up also! like it!

  • @T4CTiC4L3Pr0 Thanks T4

  • plz help! i am starting a chiclid tank and had it all planned out and then i read the demonsi have to be kept in groups of twelve or more, is this true, I cannot buy or keep that many fish in my tank HELP!

  • @3871120217 Yes it's true, they should be kept in groups. If your tank is too small to keep that many Demasoni well then it's too small to keep African Cichlids full stop

  • @rexlinkfish It is good to intoduce african species in larger groups of itself to an aquarium at a time cuz I got only 5 demasoni at once and they all killed each other except for one! Increasing the # of african cichlids in a tank lowers agression and the fish will split the harsh bullying from an aggresive fish of thier species.

  • wow its cool that you are still checking out your comments and replying even though this was made in 2010!

  • What's with the spoon? =)

  • @rexlinkfish and @bolly12345 I have had Cichlids ever since I was a little kid (Seventeen now) and I just restocked my tank with them again a couple days ago. One thing that I never really thought about when adding new Cichlids was rearranging my tank rocks. I did it for the first time and (since cichlids are usually aggressive) it was a great thing to do. Everyone was looking for a new spot to claim and not fighting the new guys defending their old spots. Try that when adding them in groups!

  • @bolly12345 ok like how small of groups like 5 at a time or something? because maybe i could do that but i couldn't buy my whole stock at once saying they are about 10 bucks a piece.

  • @3871120217 Yes and no. If you keep more than one male you need plenty to spread out the aggression. You can always just keep one though. Male Demasoni hate other male Demosoni much more than other species males.
