  • did I miss something? Shouldn't it way "The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Waste" not "A Mind... Thing to Waist"?

  • Did you have to bust me out like that (lol)? Like I'm about to bust you out about your typo! I think you meant "say" and not "way". But, you're right; however, if that is all that can be said about the video, that will work for me. So, Thanks! 

  • good except for the part of Bill Cosby...Cosby was and still is in many regard a pioneer of Black society and Black education.

you cant blame Bill for getting angry because he is reaction to the terrible transition he has witnessed withing the Black community

  • This is in response to deaggieman

I would have to agree with you on that point. The manner in which I portrayed Mr Crosby in this video is not a fair assessment of his character, his integrity nor his contributions to the African American Community. It's true that he could have approached the situation in regards to the conditions of our inner cities with a bit more tact.

  • By No means am I suggesting that what Mr. Crosby is saying is inaccurate; it's the generational divide that made what he said seem like more of an attack than constructive commentary. Whatever the case, I truly thank you for responding to my video and hope I haven't offended you in any way.

  • this character might as well do an album and get it over with. hahahaha...

  • A dialogue is indeed, desperately needed,vis-a-vis the social destiny(and outright survival) of black folk,on so many levels. But I certainly take issue with those that find it out of line for one black man to criticize another, but find it ok for another black man to become categorically critical of an entire class of blacks(& the group that's already the most culturally demonized & economically vulnerable,at that).

There is no moral authority in that debate;all of our hands are dirty.

  • Valid point. But how do we know that the money that's invested is not benefiting the student's directly? I understand that sometimes it goes to the massive endowments. And that does not give B.C. a license to criticize, but the dialog is needed.

  • That's precisely the problem--Dubois' 'talented tenth',from athletes to entertainers, have chosen to 'contribute' by reinvesting their capital, not into the criminally underfunded grade-level public schools which they attended, but to the huge endowments of their Alumnis--only to become critical of lower-class black achievement.

  • Good stuff. I usually am on MED's side, but when he came down on Bill Cosby, that wasn't right. Cosby and his wife have donated millions to higher education. And most of the things he has caught hell about, were mostly true. But all in all, we need this type of dialog. We should examine both of their opinions and go from there. Thanks for sharing .

  • What does that "UALR" in the shirt that little girl has at 2:39 stand for???
