''Big things coming for The Sailmakers" - Alan Raw-BBC Introducing
"Brilliant band, brilliant tunes" --Adam Pope-BBC Leeds
"melancholic and yet truly fascinating song-writing" - Croon.co.uk
"I first saw them a few years ago as a 3 piece acoustic act and was impressed by the lead singers voice and the lyrical content of the songs.
They are now a full 5 piece folk-rock band, the sound is much more powerful yet strangely enough it seems to enhance the music and lyrics that attracted me to them in the first place. They have added a female vocalist and with the bassist also singing backing vocals there are some great harmonies around the strong lead vocals. I expect to be seeing much more of this band, they would fit into any line-up with their melodic well thought out songs."
Yorkshire Music Collective
"The Sailmakers hail from Leeds and bring with them a charming Northern rawness to the folk scene. With their warm guitar picking and echoey choral yet masculine vocals, they are gaining momentum and popular acclaim." - Sound Stand
' Things do indeed seem bright for this band, and this could definitely be a voyage which one should consider taking' - 8.5 - Rachel Gardner - Leeds Music Scene
'They fit very nicely into the folk / rock genre. The Sailmakers wouldn't be out of place supporting Mumford and Sons or Bon Iver'
