On this 50th anniversary of 12 Angry Men (1957-2007), which was itself adapted from a 1954 play, I present the following video showing a comparison between 12 Angry Men (US) and Ek Ruka Hua Faisla (India) both made in 1957 and 1986 respectively, showing juror #10's prejudice in both versions. Original version the stars are Henry Fonda and Lee J Cobb while in Indian version it is some actor called K.K. Raina and Pankaj Kapoor. Please add comments and it would be nice if you rate this video also. I apologize but I have included some tags which aren't part of this but included so that it reaches desirable amount of people. Plz see this vid again. The prejudice is against the background of the accused. I am repeatedly asking for the comparison with 1997 version of USA and the local 1986 one in this prejudice and they match very well. Plz see my comment below and go throught that site and reply back for sure!

i watched both american versions, the 1997 one in my business law class in college, and all i remember from that one was how ridiculous it was that in a modern world no women was chosen to be on the jury

I am asking about the 1997 version and the 1986 Indian version. The 1957 version doesn't match very well with the 1986 Indian version and the 1997 version in this particular prejudice scene! How is it that both 1986 and 1997 version have the same dialogues unlike the 1957 version in this particular prejudice scene.

Seems to me like the outburst in the Hindi version was closer to the one in the 1997 remake with Jack Lemmon...........have I discovered a case of Hollywood ripping off Bollywood ? ;-)

Yes, it seems so. Infact, I questioned the 1997 version but they didnt give any genuine reply. If you goto h t t p : // w w w . whysanity . net / monos / twelve . html (no spaces) then you find the same that it is quite similar to this 1986 version. It can also be that the 1986 versions particular scene & so did the 1997 versions scene were itself inspired by some other remake as lots of remakes in other countries was made though I am not 100% sure. TO ALL THOSE VIEWING THIS PLZ REPLY 4 SURE!

I just have no idea or can not seem to be able to comprehend how can someone try to compare a movie made by real professionals with one made by unknown people from a place in india called bolywood...

anu malik is completed wasted in this movie. there was no need to give him and old guy's role when other actors are really old in real. he could have handled other's role better...

First of all there are no juries in indian courts. So the movie is not correct. Most of the 1986 Indian version is exact copy. Hardly any ingenuity. Lets face it. We Indians have not been able to come up many original, amazing scripts.

I think our hindi movie is every bit as intruiging as this english movie, we cannot deny that we stole the concept...but the acting and the intensity is amazing in the hindi movie....people have put in legendary acting bits that will stand the test of time
