I received a few emails on "how fast does it go" Well....I did not build it for speed, but went 44mph then ran out of room. I am planning on adding a "turbo" button using another Albright contactor and a push button momentary switch to bypass the controller and make a direct connection to the motor.

  • 44 mph is very impressive for an electric go cart! how many watts is that 48 volt motor? im assuming around 1000 or 1200

  • Very nice, is that system capable of reverse as well?

  • thats pretty good

  • what is your estimated time without charging?

  • thts frickin sweet! thts prtty fast for an electric, i thought tht would get u like 30 at most

  • Looks great! I see (just barely) that you have suspension, too. I'll bet that evens the ride out quite a bit. I'm thinking that, with a 72 volt system and the AXE7245 that this will outrun the Neurotikart 2. All you need is A: more running room, and B: taller gearing. I achieved this by putting large diameter tires on the rear. Can't wait to see it. Now of course, I have to clock an even higher top speed. I'll get back to you...
