I was less angry at the clerk and more angry at Sorkin for what I considered a cheap, tear-jerking trick. Let CJ fall in love and kill the guy just when they could start having sex. Great. Thanks a lot, Sorkin. What's next? Maybe we'll learn the guy didn't die but got amnesia until further notice?

First off, a seasoned Secret Service agent like Donovan would have assumed there were multiple armed robbers and checked the store. It's in their training. Secondly, I found it humorous that when Donovan drew his gun, it made the sound of a slide being racked even though he just cocked the hammer.
