Jungle Jive - Bob Zurke Original played by Hannes Otahal

One of the hardest-to-play Boogies ever! I´ve never heard a man trying to play this song before. Here you can see the outstanding Austrian Pianist Hannes Otahal in a live-performance at Boesendorfer in Vienna on 1997-04-04.

If you've ever watched old Woody Woodpecker cartoons, you might remember the episode where an old piano was washed ashore. A crab looks at it suspiciously and walks over the bass keys until it meets a native, and off they go with a wild boogie piece.

The credits showed the name of the pianist: BOB ZURKE. Bob was one of the great boogie-piano players, who died at the early age of 32. His outstanding rendition of Meade Lux Lewis´ "Honky Tonk Train Blues" with Bob Crosby´s Orchestra proves his great talent, but he left us very few solo-recordings. This might be his best one!
