I have been playing nothing but classical music on my flute for YEARS, only because I have been afraid or didn't think I had the chops to "improvise". After doing some reading and listening, I am realizing it is not as difficult as I thought and your videos inspire to me to spread my wings... thank you!

@Lilragazzagurl I checked out Raffaelflute's site. That's a good vid to start with. Something you might try also is to take one note - just one - and play it rhythmically all the way through the changes. Hear how the color changes against different chords AND bare in mind the Jazz is rich with rhythm. Sometimes players get so caught up in the chords they miss that part.
