First time taking part in a trackday on the Zandvoort race circuit. It was quite rainy, the track was slippery, so quite a challenge for a lot of people to keep their car on the road. I took care and didn't hit it too hard... Mini is a 998 with stage 1 kit and SW5 camshaft.

  • It has a 3.1 diff, so top speed is about 145 km/hr (GPS readout). Sounds can be misleading, I rev it until 6.000 - 6.500 rpm. Every well-maintained and well-setup 998 can achieve that. The SW5 gives much more torque, the rest of the power is coming from the stage 1 kit. A straight through exhaust on itself doesn't give a lot more power, the combination of the stage 1 kit does... Good luck tuning your 998!

  • Nice video, what top speed does your 998cc mini achieve. I have a 1977 mini but doesn't rev anywhere near as high as yours, does the SW5 camshaft give much more performance over the standard (e.g. more rpm etc, and does the straight through exhaust to one silencer give ay inprovements over the standard). Any help would be very much appreciated.
