First Friday Mass of Friday, January 6, 2012 Pontifical Mission Societies National Office in New York. This Mass was originally broadcast via Livestream.com at 1 p.m. EST. Celebrant and homilist is Father Andrew Small, OMI, our National Director.




Joining us at the National Office for this Mass were Catholic elementary school students from the Archdiocese of New York who are supporters of the missionary work of the Church through the Holy Childhood Association. Sister Pauline Chirchirillo, PBVM, director of the Pontifical Mission Societies in the Archdiocese of New York, organized the event at our national office to recognize the vital role of these young people as missionaries, through their prayer and sacrifice.

This Mass also serves to honor the founder of the Society for the Propagation of the Faith, Pauline Jaricot. Monday, January 9, 2012 marks the 150th anniversary of her death.
