Will Manahan (dulcimer) performs with his Uncle Dave Haas (guitar) at the Ohio Valley Gathering, held February 26-28, 2010 in Lexington, KY. Will played is front of 400 folks, received a standing ovation, and was asked to play an additional song during his performance. Will recently turned 8 years old and has been playing the mountain dulcimer for two years. He loves the dulcimer, music, reading, Star Wars, and watching basketball with his Dad, Paul. The Ohio Valley Gathering is an annual weekend music festival hosted by the Louisville Dulcimer Society.
What a wonderful thing to watch. Thanks for sharing it! - Cindy (one of Uncle Dave's students at KMW)

My granddaughter just started playing my little Cedar Creek dulcimer and she will be performing Old Joe Clark at her school this coming Friday. She also is eight and I have shown her Wills' playing, explaining that it takes a lot of practice and wanting to play. I hope she keeps on playing.
