Here's part 2 of my appearance as a contestant on the 1998 version of "Match Game." This episode was taped on August 11, 1998 and originally aired on October 7th of that year.
Will I be able to _______ up and make a comeback in Round 2?
I actually saw a couple of episodes of this version after my midnight viewings of THE EVIL DEAD. If GSN were to air this version, it would most likely be somewhere past midnight. (BTW, great to see an uncensored episode here!)
Thank you for uploading this. Looks like you had a great time. I watched this version of the MG in my senior yr of college in my home gym. I was crushed to see it canceled the following season. I met Judy Tenuta last Sunday night in Atlanta where she was performing her comedy routine and we chatted briefly about the MG and she said she hoped a nice set of episodes would be released one day like the great '70s Rayburn editions were a few years back.
It's funny- I've gotten used to half the panelists on the original Match Game being gone, but it's odd to think that half the panelists on the 1998 version are gone, too. I miss Nell Carter almost as much as I miss Charles and Brett!

I was 12 in 1998, also what other game shows (if any) did Michael Burger host?

At 7:04, some guy was sprinting across back of the set like a wanted fugitive. ROFL...that would've never been allowed if Mark Goodson were alive.

The questions were a lot more risque than the original 70's incarnation. Then again, they could get away with a lot more on TV at this point.

Boy, the judging on this version is a heck of a lot more forgiving than on the previous ones.

0:42 - Something must've happened; hence the weird edit.
