If we build a little more on each reservation, more Natives can have jobs. right now most reservations are not even small towns, they are isolated slums. That needs to be fixed, without ruining our way of life, and traditions.

Thank you Obama. It was very humble of him and honourable for him respond in this fashion. And is correct with his information and demographics. Cool. It is nice to see a candidate acknowledge Native people with education and without ingorance. But as Obama helps Native people...I understand that he helps ALL people. Thats why he is the best!

Hi there. I completely understand your concerns.  I have been following Obama for awhile. And I think that he is the first politician who is really a citizen at heart first. I think that he is a sincere man who has fought hard for civil rights of people of all backgrounds, and is going to continue to fight hard. Have faith in this man.

Thank you, Obama. Finally, for first nations to be even acknowledged and with such honest respect. I never remember any president or candidate speaking like this and offering the notion that the president of the United States, not the BIA, should handle and meet with tribal leaders and to respect Indian nations in the same way as other nations.
