Reality Check! I too have a geiger counter in southern California and the readings are nominal. Spikes and variations in readings are normal. Even CNN is reporting all of the nuclear experts agree, the US, Hawaii and Alaska included are in no way at risk of radiation.

if that hits over 100 your going to feel poorly, if it reads over 200 your in trouble. If thats in thousands kiss your ass goodbye simple. yet there fairly useless as its plutonium thats been exposed and spread. alpha and beta are a little harder to pickup and measure and it gets into everything water food fabric paint everything.
