The jobs in the supply chain division of Domino's Pizza are very physical, making it hard to describe roles and responsibilities to someone in a traditional job interview setting. It's easy to understand a job after reading the description, but a better way is to have an individual experience it for themselves by giving them some tasks they may encounter.

Candidates enter Domino's HR department with their interview questions memorized, expecting to sit in a general manager's office. The HR department, however, can better determine the quality of a candidate by taking them into the environment. For example, if a candidate shortens his or her responses in sub-zero temperatures or asks when they will return to the office, the interviewer will know the interviewee is not cut out for the job. Tuesday's and Thursday's in the vegetable processing plant have been the best days to interview because they are two of the roughest days in the factory -- this is when the onions are processed.

To better understand the process as a whole, each person in the supply chain center rotates from one position to another. While the truck driver must understand how the truck is loaded, there is a lot of "cross-pollination" happening at the executive level as well. Karen Blamick, the PeopleFirst Director in distribution, worked on a production shift for 2-3 days before going on a truck route for a day.

At their Ann Arbor, Michigan headquarters, Domino's Pizza employees must enroll in Pizza Prep School. The program, which was implemented by the CEO, helps everyone see the bigger picture. Pizza Prep School is a one-week class that explains how the dough is made, how ingredients are processed, and how pizzas are made. All employees must pass the course, which includes both a written and oral exam, as well as making a large pepperoni pizza in sixty seconds.

  • So basically you look for employees who are willing to work like a dog in deplorable conditions for as low as you can legally pay with no benefits so you can make even more profit?

  • what happened in the NC dominoes happens every single day all over the US

for every video you see on youtube of someone doing some disgusting ass shit to your food, another 10,000 incidents just as disgusting happen that you never hear about

this is what happens when you scrape the bottom of the barrel for employees you can get away with paying the very minimum of wages to

    enjoy your meal america

  • old babe with nowhere to go who sold her soul to corperate amerika. So sad.

  • @MrBladeCrash I don't think any of these people expect lavish conditions, but something that nears comfort might be nice. Ever go into one of these places and watch the people work? It's hot in there and they bust their asses ... it's physically intense. It seems the harder the employees work (in regard to their job description), the less they get paid. That's all I'm saying.

  • @contrition

I worked at Pizza Hut for 5 years Dominos for 1 year didn't see anyone mess with the food at all.

  • Want a good pizza? Go to your neighborhood independent pizza place. Screw the corporates.

  • @ghrpdx so true man, I started working when I was young and started with only 6.50 an hour. All i see around me are hardworking individuals who get paid minimum wage for their whole lives until the die. 10 hours a day is a short shift for usual workers and a lot of politics goes on in this shit.

  • Try working in a warehouse for 20hrs a day, been there done that and realized it was stupid.

  • The people in the pictures on the website look so happy working there. My name is Beachyballz and I want to work at Dominos

  • @IronJustice08 OVERSHARE!

  • this lady has no clue what the fuck she is talking about. she probably has never worked for a food establishment b4 and is brainwashed!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is nothing new and happens all the time, excepts most wont be dumb enought to tape. I knew this one dude who pissed in a pickle bucket in the walk in cooler of a BK, and fried a chunk of doody that he ( gag) took out of the toilet in a napkin. The poo just poped and splattered until it was a tiny black flake that stunk in the deep fryer. Anorder of onion rings went down in the same basket, with the fried cling on ( dry heave)
