Also known as "Wrong Way", this was released as a green flexidisc, included free with the 4th October 1979 edition of "Smash Hits" magazine. My copy of the flexidisc is a little worse for wear so the quality of the audio isn't brilliant.

  • Did this song not play twice on the same side ????

  • @xtstevie My copy does which is just as well as the first track is now virtually unplayable.

  • ty you are brilliant thanks for posting this gem if i remember was xtc the other track on this?

  • Thanks.

I'm tempted to say "wrong again" but can't because the "again" bit would not be right. This song appears twice on my copy, which is fortunate because the first track is unplayable. The brilliant XTC did have a flexidisc (Ten Feet Tall, I think) but not on this.

  • @TheRestarick I'm at that age where I wish I'd kept or took better care of my magazines. You're correct, I'm sure the XTC flexidisc was red.

  • @579enact That Nash The Slash track is a corker!

  • Happy days, etc.

  • @tygre97 Thanks dear friend.........I lost my copy moving house but if the truth be told my copy was well worn out as well !!!!!!

  • This was the first of an occasional series of flexi-discs given away with "Smash Hits". The second was a red coloured two-track (Skids: "The Olympian" and XTC "Ten Feet Tall"), the 3rd was yellow and had John Foxx "My Face", and the 4th (blue) was another 2-tracker: Nash The Slash "Swing Shift" and OMD "Pretending to see the Future (live)". I used to have them all but I lost this one, so thanks for uploading! PS, as I recall, the track plays only once, perhaps you have a rare/misprint copy?

  • I think I prefer the Rockpile version to this but it's certainly not my favourite song in the world! Thanks though, first time I've heard this version
