In this video I show you how to optimize your Apple AirPort Extreme for Xbox Live. A little different than it was with the Linksys router, but the end result is the same.

  • The new imacs have aiport extreme built in. im thing of purchasing...do you think xbl will connect as well

  • @today1975 Mac's have builtin wireless networking called Airport. However, the actual routers are what is called AirPort Express or AirPort Extreme base stations.

  • dizz i have done the setup and my xbox live works great but i still have the issue of a strict nat how do i get rid of that. I have tried port forwarding and i am really stuck. And I know alot of people have the same issue with the strict nat is there any way u can help thanks.

    keep up the great work

  • @chopper421 If you follow this guide and all of my instructions, it will work. If it doesn't. You're missing something.

  • @12343astronomer i found it :) if you haven't found it yet just turn on connection sharing to share a public ip address and it will appear.

  • @zepeh1 i couldn't either, have you been able to find the NAT since then?

  • Great video... how would I configure Airport Extreme to run two Xbox's?

  • It will probably work if you have a airport express right? Pre much the same thing

  • You find your primary/2ndary DNS settings in the 360 network configurations BEFORE you follow the steps in this(EXCELLENT) tutorial while STILL ON AUTOMATIC SETTINGS. They're right there for you to write down!

  • I went to the dns and it shows no servers

  • Can you do this on PS3 and can you do it on doth ps3 an xbox if you have both? how can you do that? please help!! thank you

  • @zepeh1 go in the internet connection>make sure share a public ip is on

  • @twist3dlogic89 If you have a PC, go to the CMD (command prompt) and type: ipconfig/all

Your Primary and Secondary DNS servers can be found (on that huge list) where it says DNS Servers. The top one is primary and the bottom one is secondary. This is weird though, I only have one and it's the Gateway IP Address.

  • i cant find the NAT section in my airport extreme :S
