  • top snare + inside = no clarity. i want to hear what you are playing, not how wet your drums is :) other than that, breathe on all the fast stuff. muscles need oxygen, and they tend to tense up when they don't get it. phrasing was pretty good though. good contrast.

  • ok look its basic if u go slow exactly what he did. i played this for solo and ensemble my speed was 3x as this and it was very clean i got a 1 and advanced to state. the snare is out of tune. and sticking was wrong numerous of times. But he did do good. i had 3 months to prepare for this solo. To play this in front of a crowd gets props though. But this is not just a basic solo .

  • even though it is a very basic solo, he performed at a great ability.... he needs to some props for that.... the room he is in isn't even close to being very accoustic, the terrible echos are making it sound not as great as it could be, but he got the intro perfect and the stick speed and sticking seemed to be right. I can say all this because i am a snare drummer, and when i see him up in front of all those people alone, it makes me feel proud to call myself a snare drummer...

  • uh. fag.

  • haha "rocks the snare." That's a very basic solo and you don't even play the whole thing. I would've said I was a freshman.

  • do you think you could send me the sheet music

  • ok dude first of all u shouldnt have left out the cool parts of the solo like the stick toss and backstickin and well everything sound sort of ok but still i wasnt pleased and ive played this solo before its not that hard

  • 1:31...why did you take that part out?

  • lol batter head snares!

  • that pretty much wasnt even phantom phrenzy. you took out some cool parts. and at the beginning the feel between the 4/4 and 6/8 should not change so dramastically, a quarter note at 108 in 4/4 essentially has the same feel as a dotted quarter marked at 72 in 6/8. nice job though.
