Everyone finds their own way to their beliefs, I studied all religions for 2 years to find my own, because each religion is built basically along the same principles and guidelines, I'm sure it has been very hard for my favorite author to speak her true views of what she believes, I hope she has a renewed energy in her life and work..HrricneGeorges

Just the fact that there is backlash for standing up for one's ethics is enough to stay away from organized religion. I don't know how she put up with 12 years of the oppression of human rights before she finally got sick of it.
