This is the original one-minute long version of the Citizen Slackers video, which was cut down to make it acceptable for submission to the presidential debates.

  • The main stream media has a vested interest in keeping the public ignorant and so they do it. An average TV watcher (without talk radio or Internet) can only get confused with the lies. I dare you to ask 5 people at random who the vice president is, ask to point out Iraq on a map, ask why we went to war... you'll be shocked!

  • I truly desire small government. I'm tired of people complaining about how "Its the governments responsability" to take care of its citizens. Its YOUR responsability to take care of YOURSELF. The government is just there as management for society. The more you can do for yourself, the more the government can help you to do it.

  • I agree!

  • The apathy comes from the fact that our leadership has become the lesser of evils-not people we feel good about backing.Awareness is distorted when so much is concealed and facts are controlled and manipulated.

  • That was a great video.

  • Good point, we should be much more informed about our civic "privileges". When we are happy that 49% of the nation voted, then it's time to do something drastic. If even 75% voted during the last election, I'm sure we would not be in our current Bush quandry.

  • Good question!!!! I was refered to this video by Liberal Arts Dude at An Independent Person and Politics in America blog. Please check out my blog The Hankster and my YouTube blog hankstertube.

    Thanks!!!!
