I don't really like his music but he represents one very important change in Iran ... the possibility to be different. He is not the status quo ... not clean faced, educated, well spoken, Islamic only, playing traditional music on a stage. But I think he should be supported because he defies the Islamic government in that he will not conform to them. That is only a good think for a freedom seeking country. Diversity is the key to life. Look in the ocean, and see how much diversity is there.
