This anime is based on the novel series by Hiroyuki Morioka. Highly recommend them. Sadly, only the 4 Crest of the Stars novels have been translated to english.

@akalenda That was the first thing that came to mind when I heard it, lmao. I could tell it wasn't german, or any other language i could recognize, but it sounded like a japanese guy trying to speak german.

i just started to watch this serise and while it starts off really slow ive fallen in lvoe with it byt the end of crest of the stars, looking forword to starting this one
so far its the 2nd best sci fi anime ive seen(#1 is the incredibly underreted rahXephon.....fucking eva fans ruining this shows popularity)

I only wish they would've brought Seikai No Senki III to the states.
I HAVE IT ALL, SAVE FOR THOSE 2 EPISODES!!

The composer seems to have been inspired by James Horner's film scores. This track wouldn't be at all out of place in one of the Star Trek soundtracks Horner composed.

I agree with many here. It is my favorite anime and I wish more people could appreciate such a beautifully crafted universe. I have all the novels and dvds and want more!

@xplson It's a language that was made up for use in the show, but it does kind of sound like a Japanese dude trying to speak German doesn't it? :-)

This is truly a series built for trekkies..

Is this... German? Wow, just wow.

@xxxAnimexxxFreekxxx If you like the idea of observing space battles, military philosophy, and interesting culture clashes in a distant fictional future, then yes. It's a damn good series. =D
...I love this series. It's a pity it gets so little recognition...
Long live the Abh!
