well it seems these days that cds are based around the one two singles while the rest of the album is very poorly written...

  • ... so it's like the early 60s again, before the Beatles and good albums. I think the CD has itslef fucked music, a sit is too oong -- earlier an album was 42 minutes (LP). CD is 50-60 mins--too much space to fill, so the talent of the artists got diluted. Also, CDs sound bad: LPs are better, and the newer artists probably never heard an LP hahaha

  • Well put.

Now as for the cd i'm not sure i entirely agree with you. yes theres more potential for the space to be wasted but it really has to do more with the lack of talented musicians in todays age, or at least thats what i think...

  • suk on da ballz

  • great command of the english language you have there.

  • dude, I was steeling the crap off the radio long before burning and riping came along!

  • And back when plank cassettes first came out the music industry tried to stop production of them because "it would put them out of business". Honestly if they want to sell albums they need to shift their focus from only the singles but the entire album.

  • Your 100% correct my friend. Music comming out today and since about 94 onward is shit.

  • HA! I love it. You're right. I was excited to see what your point would be and you didn't let me down.

  • You hit it right on the head. I totally agree. The music today totally sucks.Even the artists that have been around for years are putting out crap and they are just hoping people buy their stuff just because they are who they are and have been out awhile. That's why I only listen to the older stuff, it was good music.

  • yes

  • Most of the major labels artists today or BS anyway. Look at hip-hop artists all their shit runs together, you could say that they steal ideas from each other cause they all rap about the same thing. I'd rather buy music from the people who work their ass off and make good music worth buying cause their on their own. And for some artists you can see that they stopped trying after they got that contract, just let the boys upstairs handle everything and just be a face for the label.

  • lol the industry is still here, and that proves that no matter what they put out someone will buy it. They could make a cd with 1 song on it, and someone would buy it.

  • The internet, youtube, and myspace are killing art. Music has slowly diminished in quality since the internet came out. There's nothing inspiring about American idol or you're fuckin' laptop. This is geekville.

  • File sharing introduced classic tunes to a whole new generation that may not of had a chance to hear them otherwise. If you had a hit in the past 30 years you can have a touring career because file sharing made you famous again. No file sharing and your music would be getting dusty on someones shelf or long since buried at the rubbish tip. Now good music has a way of getting to the people. You want money? Go play live for the people. They will pay to see you.
