So if the jews stole the story from the sumerians and we founded christianity on judaism where does that leave us? Holding an empty bag. If Helios doesn't pull the sun across the sky in a chariot, how does it move?

What I mean is: don't just jump to the conclusion that a god - especially a particular god - is doing this stuff, just because you can't imagine a natural explanation. When people believed in Helios, they had no way of knowing what the sun really was. Today, we have no way yet of knowing how the universe came into existence. But we're working on it.
