Adam Stern conducts the Port Angeles Symphony Orchestra with Alex Dugdale as the Tap Dance soloist performing Tap Dance Concerto by Morton Gould. The first performance of this piece was in 1952 at the Eastman Theatre in Rochester, New York. Morton Gould conducted and the soloist was Danny Daniels. It has not been performed at the Eastman Theatre since the premier performance.

  • Is there really in the score the tap staff?!?!? O.O

  • @Epogdous There is indeed. It was very fun to read. However, only the rhythms are given in the score, the dancer has to come up with the choreography themselves. It says that some liberties can be taken, but the overall theme and feeling of the dance should be the same.
