Carlotti Jaw Surgery

Marina Stepper was a 16 year old who was diagnosed with severe undergrowth of her upper jaw, severe overgrowth of her lower jaw, difficulty chewing, speaking and swallowing. Through the efforts of Drs. Albert and Michelle Carlotti and the Phoenix Suns Charities, she underwent Jaw (Orthognathic) Surgery which involved moving her upper jaw forward and her lower jaw backward in a 6 hour operation. Drs. Albert & Michelle Carlotti are the only husband and wife team in the United States who perform these procedures. They both earned dental degrees (DDS) and medical degrees (MD) and are both Board Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons. This procedure was performed in their facility, Desert Palm Surgical Center, in Scottsdale, Arizona at no cost to the patient.
