any residual left behind with pesticides will not kill bedbugs. Once the chemical dries it no longer works. If it did you would only need to do one treatment with pesticides if there was a residual. Your logic is flawd

If a thorough job is not done, you may not even get rid of the bed bugs. -also remember no matter how thorough you are, the chemicals will not kill the eggs. With a heat treatment you will kill all stages of the bed bug. And there is nothing stopping you from doing both- dusting the baseboards with DE or mother earth and doing the heat treatment.

Heat Treatment Units are too visible. The heat will kill bed bugs, but they are too expensive, too labor intensive, and do not leave a residual.
