I see I am not the only Acadian to have compared our people to the Jews. Le Grand Derangement was no Shoah but it was no walk in the park either. Now you are here saying we are descended from Jews? That's a pretty bold statement. Where is your evidence?

Even were it true, it saddens me to think that an Acadian (and even a Jew) could be unmoved by the suffering of the many displaced Palestinian families who lost much the same way we lost in 1755.

Werebat: Write me and I will give you many websites to check out to prove we are indeed Jews. I tried twice to post it here but it does not go through. Go figure. Maybe they blocked me out. After 500 years in Diaspora, it's hard to believe this, but hey, DNA does support my theory. My cousin (male) recently had his done, and we were Cohanims/Levites from Solomon's Temple. This haplo-type R1b can only be found in males. Levites were Temple people, singers/musicians/ sculpters/designers
