i kinda agree about the whole i wish high schoolers werent on it thing cause im in high school now and i need to focus on getting grases so i can get innto college, but facebook is the #1 distraction while online. i feel like if i didnt have access to facebook it would be a hell of a lot easier to concentrate cause it is, reaally, addicting

I have to agree with you..... I just realized on how much of time of was wasting on it. It does nothing to me..... I thought I could make friends online and have fun but I was TOO STUPID to realize it is not doing anything good.

You're right. Facebook is designed to grab a segment of the population who is, for a variety of reasons, prone to addictive behaviour. Or, they are inclined to acts of narcism, exhibitionism, and social competition. It has been said that there is a segment of the population that is in a state of perpetual adolescence. Lacking confidence, they are inclined to acts of attention-getting. Facebook encourages and rewards this sort of behaviour.

for years i resisted facebook, youtube, hotmail, msn, etc and now i have all of these. i'm not sure what it has achieved. it has made more lazy in meeting people and i feel a little on display. maybe we all need to seriously question the role these technologies are playing in our lives. how much they serve us and how much they are have been designed to serve the agenda of the secret ruling elite..... orwells 1984 has been very much a reality we have been living for the last 10...
